I've updated it to John 1.7.6 w/ Jumbo-5 and everything seems to be in working order. FWIW, I've been using this format during assessments of PEAP-based wireless networks. Specifically, I run a fake AP which logs the authentication attempts: http://www.foofus.net/?page_id=115 Joe
