Message-ID: <20110816212341.GA4111@eee> Date: Wed, 17 Aug 2011 01:23:42 +0400 From: Aleksey Cherepanov <aleksey.4erepanov@...il.com> To: john-users@...ts.openwall.com Subject: -subformat key works better than documented I found on john-1.7.8-jumbo5 that -subformat key accepts following: $ john -format:md5-gen -subformat:'md5_gen(0)' ... It works for me like $ john -format:'md5_gen(0)' While documentation (doc/OPTIONS) does not say about -subformat key. It says only about -subformat=LIST key that shows list of subformats. However such behaviour seems to me to be intuitional. Hence the question could I use such behaviour in Johnny? Or will it be fixed to be like in documentation and I should not use it? Regards, Aleksey Cherepanov
