Hi My system OS X LIon Imac Intel I7 I have download 1.7.8 jumbo 4 , then inserted 4 files in the src directory Download attachment "rawSHA224_fmt.c" of type "application/octet-stream" (3903 bytes) Download attachment "rawSHA256_fmt.c" of type "application/octet-stream" (3919 bytes) Download attachment "rawSHA384_fmt.c" of type "application/octet-stream" (3983 bytes) Download attachment "rawSHA512_fmt.c" of type "application/octet-stream" (4049 bytes) the renamed each file as following : rawSHA224_fmt_plug.c rawSHA256_fmt_plug.c rawSHA384_fmt_plug.c rawSHA512_fmt_plug.c then compiled "make clean macosx-x86-64" You can see compilation log at http://pastebin.com/efETLWPh I do a ./john -test, but no SHA224 -> 512 found.
