Also & concern my request & question about the "Sha 1(md5($pass)" & conform to your advices by invoking "md5_gen(23)", unfortunately that's don't work with the last Jumbo2. ( for info i compiled for MAC & x64 one) Here the error i got : ************************** new-host-4:run xxx$ ./john --format='md5_gen(23)' mm.txt Unknown ciphertext format name requested new-host-4:run xxx$ arch -i386 ./john --format='md5_gen(23)' mm.txt arch: posix_spawnp: ./john: Bad CPU type in executable ************************* So, i am going to compiled an new one who are not in "x_64" to get the SSE2. Anyway, if some of you are interested by bench's, here some cross tests with : 1.7.8 Jumbo 2 & 1.7.6 Jumbo 12 ( from Erik) ******************************* new-host-4:run xxx$ ./john --format=DES --test Benchmarking: Traditional DES [128/128 BS SSE2-16]...
