No, it does not.

You need to change this line in the Makefile:

	$(LD) $(JOHN_OBJS) -lkernel32 -o ../run/john.exe

to read:

	$(LD) $(JOHN_OBJS) -ldes -lkernel32 -o ../run/john.exe
