OK* (new session) 1] note that on windows it is very uncommon to use "/" as a directory delimiter *2] I'v encountered minor glitch, cause I've tested it with custom ini (with different mode names). So it can only happen to exotic entities as I am. It stopped with message: "No charset defined for mode: All" which is fine, but when I replaced the ini with the official 1.7 ini: it gave me: "Incorrect crash recovery file format: john.rec" it was only able to show the status of the rec file: "guesses: 154 time: 0:00:37:50 97% (2) c/s: 1475K" log contained: ... 0:00:37:50 Proceeding with wordlist mode 0:00:37:50 - Wordlist file: password.lst 0:00:37:50 - 57 preprocessed word mangling rules 0:00:37:50 Terminating on error interrupting and restoring the 2nd phase (password.lst) before the charset error was otherwise OK. 3] Also the cygwin.dll could be a minor glitch if the user is already running some older cygwin program with older cygwin.dll. (eg. OpenSSH). But all and all it's pretty big step up from the original 1.6 release, Congratulations :) -Radim
